Peterson (Sandak), Lona M., 78, of Menoher Heights died January 15, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. Born January 28, 1936 to the late Charles and Esther Sandak. Preceded in death by brother, Donald Sandak. Survived by children, Vickie Yates and husband Don; Rick Peterson and wife Dolly; Rodney Peterson and wife Dawna; grandchildren, Brad Yates and Erica; Courtney Yates; Amber Peterson and Kevin; Richard Peterson and wife Amy; great grandchildren, Caden Peterson; Logan Adkins; and Jaylynn Yates. Lona was a member of Way of Hope Christian Fellowship and volunteered in the gift shop of Arbutus Manor for over 20 years as the “Card Lady.” She loved her children, gambling at casinos, attending Amber and Richard’s horse shows, swimming, cooking, knitting, crocheting, and making ceramics. Lona will be greatly missed by friends and family.
