Bezy, Lorraine Veronica, 58, Johnstown, died peacefully May 14, 2019 at Windber Hospice after a long courageous battle against cancer. Born July 7, 1960 to the late Phillip and Bernadette (Murray) Bezy. Survived by husband, Mike Messina, Johnstown; and brother, Paul Bezy, Rudyard, Montana. Lorraine co-founded and was employed at the Chameleon Bookstore, downtown Johnstown. She organized many live performances and special events there. In the past she also wrote live band reviews for several area publications. Her hobbies included karaoke, attending concerts and especially dancing. Well known for her unique sense of style, Lorraine touched the lives of many people with her quick wit and creative outlook, maintaining her trademark ability to have fun while encouraging others to do the same all the way to the end. Family and friends will be received Sunday May 19 from 2-5 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Windber Hospice.
