Custer, Louis W. Sr., 91, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord June 26, 2022. Born
December 16, 1930, to the late Ira and Ethel (Shaffer) Custer. He is also preceded
in death by brother Donald Custer; he was survived by his wife of 41 years
Frances (Johncola) Custer; Children, Louis Custer Jr. (Janis), Kimberly Custer;
stepchildren, John Evanisko, Don Evanisko; four grandchildren; four great
grandchildren; brother, Gary Biroski (Evonne); many nieces and nephews. Louis
was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served on the submarine USS Redfish.
He also was retired from Bethlehem Steel after 35 years. He then worked for the
Tribune Democrat part time for another 24 years. He was an avid golfer in the
Gautier League, also he loved bowling where he had a 299 score. At Louis’s
request there will be no viewing and a private service. Louis is going to be sadly
