Kurtz, Louise E., 93, of Johnstown, passed away June 23, 2020. Louise was born January 6, 1927 to the late John F. and Mary A. (Ryan) Owens. She was raised in Johnstown, living most of her life in Roxbury. She was a member of the Visitation BVM Catholic Church, an avid volunteer with her husband at St. Vincent De Paul and enjoyed bowling and volunteering at the Knights of Columbus. Louise had moved to the Richland Towers, and then completed her life at the Richland Healthcare & Rehab Center for the last three years. She is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Kurtz; sister, Mary; and brothers, Charlie, Frank, and Jack. Louise is the mother of 5 children, Bill Kurtz (Patricia) of Belmont, CA; Christine Pickell (Howard, deceased) of Schwenksville, PA; John Kurtz (Nam) of Seattle, WA; Rick Kurtz (Elsie) of Delmont, PA; and Steve Kurtz (Renay) of Johnstown; brothers, Bob Owens, VA; Thomas Owens, MO; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
