Hampton, Lynn G., 77, Johnstown, passed away June 15, 2016 at the Palliative Care Unit of Conemaugh Hospital. Born Dec. 26, 1938 to the late Charles Oscar and Pauline (Evans) Hampton. Preceded in death by brother, Gary; sister, Miriam; brother-in-law, Merle Stutzman; and niece, Mina. Survived by his wife of 59 years, the former Dorothy (Bezila) Hampton; children, Darlene married to William Weible, Johnstown; Larissa, Johnstown; and Thomas married to Ann (Smith), Johnstown; niece, Lorinda (fiancé, Steve); and nephew, Merle, Jr. (wife, Sandy). Retired from US Steel. Lynn was an avid fisherman who enjoyed tying flies, and photography. At his request there will be no viewing or service. Lynn’s family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Conemaugh Hospice and the Palliative Unit for their compassion and care.
