Holtz, Margaret A. – 88, Hastings, went to be with the Lord on Monday May 15, 2017, at St. Benedict Manor. Born August 18, 1928, in Bakerton; she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Hresco) Gormish. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald J. “Hoff” Holtz, her daughter Janice A. Holtz-Glick, her siblings, John Gormish, Elizabeth Molnar, Andy Gormish, George Gormish, Paul Gormish, and Pauline Patrick. Margaret is survived by her daughter Barbara L. Holtz, Hastings; son Donald J. “Hoffy” Holtz Jr., Hastings; daughter Judith L. Holtz, Camp Hill;  her granddaughter Jenna Marie Glick; her siblings Joseph Gormish, Ohio; Rose Venesky, Indiana; Ed Gormish, Northern Cambria; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She  was a longtime member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, spending time with her family, neighbors, and friends. Mom loved her family and friends very much and will be missed by her family and friends.   Friends and family will be received on Friday May 19, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver St., Hastings, PA 16646. A visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday May 20, 2017 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings. Father Thaddeus Rettger O.S.B. Officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Margaret’s memory to St. Bernard Catholic Church, 148 Beaver St., Hastings, PA 16646. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Benedict Manor for the loving care they provided for Margaret over the past two years-Thank You.
