Margaret A. Pynkala, wife, mother, grandmother, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2022, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital at the age of 78. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Thomas, and her beloved children, Michael (Ada & Devin) and Jennifer. She is predeceased by her parents, Roy and Olive (Johnson) Manbeck, and her brothers, Ray Johnson and Charles Johnson. Margaret was born on July 11, 1944, in Lewistown, PA to Roy and Olive (Johnson) Manbeck. After graduating from Chief Logan High School, she went on to become an O.R. Technician. It was while working at Conemaugh Hospital she met her husband of 51 years, while he was visiting her brother, Ray. They married in 1971 and went on to build a beautiful life. Margaret continued her work in health care at the former Richland Manor (Johnstown) until her retirement. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid quilter and, in her retirement, developed a side business selling her wares at craft shows. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, antiquing, and shopping with her daughter.  She also filled her spare time with water walking at the YWCA and going to lunch with friends. Margaret had a great love for her cats (Calliope, Charlie, Cassandra, Charlotte & Lola) and her grand puppies (Leah & Luci) …who all miss her very much. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all that knew her.  Until we are reunited, “We will look for you in Rainbows.” Family will receive friends Thursday December 29th from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. Arrangements in care of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., “Exclusive Provider of Veterans and Family Memorial Care.” Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com
