Paul Marie Obit Pic

Paul, Marie A., “GaGa”, passed away peacefully at home on the beautiful morning of June 1, 2020. Born April 26, 1927, daughter of George and Emma Black. Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, M. Neil Paul “Poppy”; and siblings, Vivian Webb; and Glenn and Don Black. Survived by children, Jan (Irene Hamula) Paul; Denise Custer (Barney); Kim Pesarchic (Blaise); granddaughters, Annette Mucci (Jeff); Janel Pesarchic; Lindsay Angus (Jim); Marcie Brown (Kevin); great grandchildren, Ella and Logan Angus; Camryn and Caitlyn Kosaber; Kevin and Leslie Brown; siblings, Doris Karl (Eugene “Banjo”); Leroy Black (Donna); Clair Black (D); Susanne Poborsky (Melvin); Larry Black (Ruth); Dennis Black (Candy); Sannie Gamble (Jay); sister-in-law, Sarah Black; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Being the oldest of 11 children growing up in the Great Depression, she had many stories to tell of her childhood. Mom always enjoyed family gatherings and traveling with family and friends to the beach or casino. Both parents taught us manners and to be respectful, always with love and affection. Anyone that came to our house felt welcomed and loved, her house was “the party place”. After our dad “Poppy” passed, GaGa relied on her granddaughters to keep her smiling. She always had “spare” clothes and shoes for them to dress up in! Then came the great-grandchildren, she loved holding them and watching them grow, being a “grand” part of their lives. Whether it was playing games, letting them put curlers in her hair, or watching their sporting events, she loved and encouraged them and was always bragging about how proud she was of them. She was also a member of the Solomon Run Ladies Auxiliary. GaGa got the “extra dose” of stubbornness out of all her siblings but she always took pride in herself and loved family and life completely. We will all miss you GaGa! You and Poppy can watch over us together now. Special thanks to Interim Hospice caregivers, Sandy and Ashley for their compassionate care for our GaGa. A private family graveside service will be held and a celebration of GaGa’s life will be held and announced later. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in GaGa’s memory. Arrangements in care of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., “Exclusive Provider of Veterans and Family Memorial Care.” Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com
