Phillips, Marlene T., 79, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord, December 3, 2015 at her home.  Born September 18, 1936 in Johnstown, daughter of the late James E. and Irene B. (Carnes) Thompson. Preceded in death by her parents; and six siblings. She is survived by her husband Thomas H. Phillips, her children, Paul W. Blackner Jr. (Judy), Johnstown; Daniel J. Blackner (Dana), Johnstown; Jeffrey S. Blackner, Nashville, TN; David A. Blackner (Paulette), Johnstown; her stepchildren, Christopher H. Phillips (Carrie), Johnstown; Lee An Uptain (Les), Tucson, AZ; she is also survived by her grandchildren, and her canine children Samson and Gideon. She retired from Cambria County Victim Services, where she worked as a secretary/receptionist. Marlene was a member of the Johnstown Symphony Chorus, and she was also an active member of University Park Church of God. There will be a memorial service held on Wednesday December 9th at 11 a.m. at University Park Church of God, 4070 Elton Road. Pastor Timothy Coppess, Officiating. Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the church.
