Branic, Martha A., 79, Johnstown, died February 7, 2015 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.  Born April 8, 1935 in Altoona, daughter of the late Sylvester and Anna (Kirk) Griffith.  Preceded in death by sister, Jackie Sheehan.  Survived by loving husband of 55 years, Bernard Branic, Johnstown.  Also survived by daughter, Deborah (James) Mendillo, Johnstown; sisters, Mary Lou Amigh, NC, Carmen Pequignot, Hollidaysburg, Jean Reighard, Altoona, and Betsy Cignetti, Altoona; grandsons, Christopher, Michael, and Matthew; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and brother and sister in laws.  Martha was a volunteer at Mercy and Conemaugh Hospital for 35 years as well as a volunteer at church.  She was “chief” Librarian at St. Benedicts School for many years.  She was a Girl Scout leader and loved being part of the St. Benedicts Ladies Duckpin Bowling League.  Martha was born in April, in which the official flower is a Sweet Pea, which is very fitting since she was one.  Family and friends will be received Tue. 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd.  Memorial service will be held on Wed. at 10 a.m. at St. Benedicts Church, with Rev. David Peles officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St Benedict School Library.  Arrangements in care of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., exclusive provider of “Veterans and Family Memorial Care.” Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com.
