Griffith (Barczak), Mary B., 81, Johnstown, passed away April 22, 2020, while admitted to the Palliative Care Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was an adored daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; she loved her family more than anything. Born October 9, 1938, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents, Francis and Sophie (Kowal) Barczak; sisters, Dolores Miller, Theresa Fogel, Eleanor Pristow; brothers, Edward, Thomas, Leonard and Eugene Barczak; husband, Russell Griffith; and son-in-law, Paul Staszak. Survived by children, Russell J. (Maria Gonzales) Griffith of Massachusetts; Nancy (Sinclair) Griffith of Illinois; Greg (Lisa Miltenberger) Griffith and Jeff Griffith of Johnstown; Julie Staszak of Illinois; and Hellen (Tom) Strushensky of Johnstown; grandchildren, Julianne and Alyssa Griffith; Amy, Emberly and Tyler (Griffith) Sinclair; Allen Staszak; Amanda Rapp (William Armold, Jr.), and Anthony Strushensky; great grandchildren, Nathan and Rylie Armold; brother, Frank Barczak of Johnstown; sister, Helen Mobley of Texas; very special friend, Mary Woods of Johnstown; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was a wonderful person and will be missed terribly by her family and friends. She enjoyed playing Bingo, attending church services and other activities, as well as spending time with her family, particularly her great grandchildren whom she cherished.
