Rummel, Mary Jane “Jane”, 90, Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Johnstown, passed away on October 3, 2018 at Page Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Fort Myers, FL. Born December 30, 1927 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late August and Esther (Wagner) Satzinger. Preceded in death by her parents; her son Clifford A. Rummel; her grandsons, Scott Rummel and Brian Cribbs, and her sister Lois Penner. Jane is survived by her loving husband of almost 75 years, Clifford E. Rummel; her son James Rummel (Janet), Johnstown; her daughter Jayne Rummel, Fairborn, OH; her grandchildren, Robert Cribbs, Michael Cribbs, Liana Daniels (Garth), Nanty Glo; and Lori Rummel, Johnstown; her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Nathan, Britton, Trinity, Samantha, and Ethan; and her sister, Evelyn Sowerbrower; Jane is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Jane was retired from Best Form, where she worked as a seamstress for 30 years. Jane was a member of St. Paul’s German Lutheran Church in Johnstown, after moving Jane became involved in the Messiah Lutheran Church in Fort Myers, FL. Jane was always very active in the church choir throughout her life. Jane was instrumental in bringing attention to the flood crisis in Tanneryville where forty people died. Jane’s actions helped lead to the forming of the Tanneryville Flood Association, and she later served as Secretary of the Johnstown Flood Association. When Jane retired she and Clifford moved to Fort Myers to manage the Sunny Court RV Park for several years. Jane was also a member of the Fort Myers garden club, and worked with the city to form a small park along the Caloosahatchee River. Jane loved cooking for her children, and grandchildren, sewing for her daughter, and square dancing with her husband. Jane lived a very active life. Friends and family will be received on Thursday October 11, 2018 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral at 12 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Road, Johnstown, PA 15902.
