Obituary

Uncapher, Mary L., 89, Park Hill, formerly of Garden Terrace Apartments, went home to be with the Lord, September 21, 2017 at her home. Born September 24, 1927 in Johnstown, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Barbara (Kohr) Rice. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James B. Uncapher; her siblings, Robert, Olin, Irene, Evelyn, June, Geraldine, and her twin sister Betty Jane. Survived by her children Diane Alberter (Larry), Sykesville, MD; Mary Lou Grove (Scott), Clymer, PA; Janet Varner (Roy), Saltsburg, PA; James S. Uncapher (Heather), Park Hill, PA; Valerie Hale (David), Meyersdale, PA; grandchildren, Jeff Alberter, Erika Alberter, Dan Alberter, Scott Drugo, Kristen Wadding, Josh Varner, Rena Hanik, Moriah Zybura, Jesse Uncapher, Dalton Uncapher, Sandra Biller, Heather Roberts; great-grandchildren, Paige, Palmer, Owen, Ellaina, Alli, Alexa, Emmy, Livie, Megan, Onna, Noah, Thomas, Karli, Kenadie, Chase, Mason, Kyle; great-great granddaughter Ariellah; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was the last of her siblings to pass away. Mary enjoyed playing cards with her twin sister, and her long time best friend Helen Lehman, she also enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, who she adored, she was a devout Catholic, and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. A memorial mass will be celebrated  at 10 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2017 at St. John Gaulbert Cathedral, Johnstown,  Very Rev. James F. Crookston, officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
