Dillon, Mary R., 101, St. Benedict, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2019, at Haida Manor. She was born November 1, 1917 in Spangler. Daughter of the late Anthony and Catherine (Fox) Holtz. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Francis J. Dillon; her brothers, Robert, Urban, George and Earl. Mary is survived by her children, Karen Gulick (Russell), Rising Sun, MD; Joseph Dillon, St. Benedict; Rita Hayes (John), Elkton, MD; Robert Dillon (Amy), Martinsburg, PA; Doris Owens (Paul), Auburn, NY; James Dillon (Helen), Johnstown, PA; Mary Ann Swope (Richard), Mundys Corner; Regina Miller (David), St. Benedict; and David Dillon, Ebensburg; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 1 great-grand child; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other members of extended family. Mary took pride in caring for her home, and her family, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family and her faith in the Lord were the most important to her. Mary enjoyed baking, canning, crochet, and anytime spent with family. Friends and family will be received on Thursday June 20, 2019 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver St. Hastings, PA 16646. There will be a short visitation on Friday June 21, 2019 at St. Bernard Church from 10 AM until 11 AM funeral mass. Father Thaddeus Rettger OSB, officiating. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Masses in memory of Mary.
