Rector, Michael J., 75, Johnstown, died March 3, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center.  Born February 23, 1943 in in Johnstown; son of the late William and Jean (Lorditch) Rector.  Preceded in death by son, Michael J. Rector; step- daughter, Kimberly Bruner; and brother, Elmer Piper. Survived by his wife, Janet F. (Toot) Rector; children, Rita Rector, Armagh; Daniel (Dorothy) Bruner, Hanoverton, OH; Ronald (Tammy) Bruner, Salem, OH;and David Bruner, Johnstown;  Karen (James) Gustkey, East Conemaugh; grandchildren, Ronnie (Megan), Matthew (Tabitha), Shaun (Erin), Danielle (Joe), Deanna, Douglas, Tiffany (Dustin), Scott (Abby), and Sheila; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances Rector and Shirley Dickert; and also his beloved dog, “Oreo”. Michael was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a molder for Salem Brass Foundry. He was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church, Conemaugh Valley Marine Corps. League and AmVets.  A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on March 24th, 2018 at Beulah United Methodist Church, 716 Bedford St., Johnstown, PA 15902. Pastor David Stains, officiating .
