Obituary

Kohler, Michael “Mickey”, 83, Johnstown, passed away July 12, 2022, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born September 20, 1938, to the late John and Ruth (Topper) Kohler. Preceded in death by siblings, Imelda Buettner and John “Jack” Kohler. Survived by loving wife of 62 years, Marion (Koval) Kohler; children, Claire Koval (Al); Anne Kohler; Lisa Cover (Matt); Paul Kohler (Cathy); Adam Kohler (Jess); grandchildren, Ben (Jenna); Hannah (Corey); Leah (Garrett); Abby; Zachary: Sasha; great grandson, Dominic; brother Ron (Mary Jo); sister-in-law, Pat; and brother-in-law, Bernie (Bea) Koval. Mickey retired after 30 years as Managing Director of Physicians and Dentists Service Bureau, Telephone Answering Service, and Executive Director of Cambria County Medical Society. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Windber Country Club. He loved to hunt and fish and made many trips out West. Mickey spent almost 20 years as a volunteer at the St. Vincent De Paul store, working in the furniture department. Family would like to thank the staff at Arbutus Park Manor for the kind and compassionate care they gave Mickey. Family will receive friends Sunday July 17th from 2-6 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. Interment will be held privately.
