McLaughlin, Michael P. Jr., 25, Johnstown, passed away May 2, 2017. Born May 1, 1992 in Chesapeake, VA. Son of Michael P. Sr. and Debra D. (Rigel) McLaughlin. Preceded in death by uncle, Barry; great aunt Kerry; great grandma & grandpa, Malloy; great grandma, Rigel; and cousin, Johnny. Survived by parents; sisters, Ashley and BreAnn McLaughlin, Johnstown; girlfriend, Aleshia Koontz and their unborn son; grandma & grandpa Black, Johnstown; pap John, Johnstown; grandma & grandpa McLaughlin, Vintondale; grandma Vassallo, Uniontown; grandma & grandpa Wolf, WY; niece, Evelyn Grace; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Michael proudly served our country in the Army National Guard, where he worked with the 252 Engineer Company and was deployed to Afghanistan. He was currently working with the 28 Military Police Company and won the Command Sargent Major Jay H. Field, Non Commissioned Officer Leadership Award. He was very proud of his military experience and military family. Michael loved to travel and go to the beach. He loved his dog, Blitz, and brought out the best in everyone through his loving nature. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, Pastor David Stains officiating. Interment at Fort Indiantown Gap Cemetery on Monday.
