Kubat, Nathan M., 29, Johnstown, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 23, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. Born December 12, 1984 in Johnstown; son of Stephen and Diane (Mottin) Kubat. Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, and his paternal grandparents. Survived by his wife Lisa (German) Kubat; his 4 year old daughter, Katherine; his parents; his brothers Stephen Jr. and Jason; his father-in-law Mark German, Baltimore; his mother-in-law Susan German, Johnstown; his brother-in-law Mark German Jr. and his wife Stacy; his nephew Jack; Nathan is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Nathan was an Organ Donor for CORE. Nathan’s gift of life will help at least 6 recipients. Against all odds one of his organs was a complete match for his sister-in-laws mother who has been on a waiting list for 2 years with only 4 months left.
Nathan graduated from Central Cambria High School and was a Welder for 10 years at JWFI. Nathan enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughter, family, and friends. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle; he enjoyed sports, especially THE Ohio State Buckeyes, Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Braves. Nathan attended Pike Grace Brethren Church. Nathan will be sadly missed by all.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Grace Brethren Church on Wednesday July 30th at 6 pm with light refreshments afterwards. Pastor Rudy Sheptock and Pastor Brad Deetscreek officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Nathan’s memory to a memorial fund for Lisa Kubat at First National Bank.
