Wingard, Nile B., 94, Sidman, passed away September 2, 2020. Born April 4, 1926 to the late George and Catherine (Knavel) Wingard. Nile was the last surviving of ten children. Preceded in death by wife, Betty (Weyandt) Wingard, and his nine siblings, Charles, Clifford, Algie, Guy, Ivan, Marcel, Zelda, Nina, and Merna. Survived by son, Corey Nile Wingard and husband Jeff Grasha; daughter, Beverly Ann Sipes; granddaughter, Chelsea Sipes; and special lady friend, Joan Smajda. Nile was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired coal miner and the President of the United Mine Workers Local 998. Nile was a lifetime member of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren and loved day trips to Rocky Gap. At Nile’s request there will be no viewing or service.
