Twyman, Ola B., 86, Johnstown native, long-time resident of New York, NY, died peacefully August 24, 2019 at Westmont Woods. Born December 3, 1932 to the late Gaston and Lottie (Laing) Twyman. Preceded in death by her parents; her children, Jehu Jackson and Reuben Jackson; her siblings, Marie Tucker, James Twyman, Bertha Allen, Charlotte Thomas, Lillian Twyman, Faith Twyman and Ernest J. Mitchell. Survived by her granddaughter, Stephanie (Sean) Thomas; her great-grandson Winston Thomas; her sisters, Shirley (Twyman) Jackson, Ida Andrews and Venette Gibson; many devoted nieces, nephews, and friends, especially Mary Shuler, Jocelyn Harris (New York City). Ola faithfully served her God Jehovah. She traveled the world and was a patron of the arts, a visionary entrepreneur, and a good friend whose door was always open to anyone at any time. Family and friends will be received Thursday August 29, 2019 from 10 AM until time of the funeral at 11AM at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave. Johnstown, PA 15906. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Ola to the American Cancer Society.
