ORAVEC – Olga R., 96, Lower Yoder Township, died Nov. 9, 2022 at Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber, Windber, PA., following a brief illness. Born Jan. 12, 1926, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Basil “Whitey” and Sara (Wietecha) Stanisloff. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Joseph J. Oravec; and sister, Phyllis Crislip-Orner. Survived by son James J. Oravec of Johnstown; daughter Olga Joette Lord of Seneca, PA.; son David J. Oravec married to the former Christine Elliott of Richfield, N.C.; and two grand-children Adam Oravec and Ashley Hartsell and husband David and their two sons, Elijah and Arcadius.

Olga unselfishly devoted her life to her family. She took great pleasure from the simple things in life and showed tremendous strength all her life. She enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, knitting, reading, and cooking traditional Slovak and Polish meals.

At Olga’s request there will be no public visitation. Arrangements are under the care of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, November 18^th at 10 A.M.  the Rev. Anthony Francis Spilka officating. Burial, St. Francis church cemetery.
