Pearl Yonker Pearson, 94, died November 4, 2021, at Westmont Woods, Johnstown Pa. Born December 22, 1926, in Daguscahonda, PA. Daughter of James and Elizabeth (Wright) Yonker. Married to George G Pearson at St. Benedict’s Church, Daguscahonda, PA, on May 24, 1948. Resided in Ridgway, PA until 1959. Preceded in death by her husband in 2012; parents; brothers, Harold, and Edward; sisters, Ruth Gorton, Alice Staff, Margaret Scott, Hazel Rollick and Mabel Williamson. Survived by her children, G. Craig, married to Susan Lutz, Kent,WA, Kim E. married to Tammy O’Hara, Ohio, Krista M married to R. Paul Miller, Johnstown, PA; grandchildren, Tim Miller (Jen), Dan Miller (Dani), Todd Miller, Tammy Smith (Brodie), Michelle Casey (Joe), Rebecca Burgdorf (Matt), Eric Pearson, Brian Pearson (Jeni), Kevin Pearson(Kelly); 15 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; brother Paul Yonker.
Retired in 1987 from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. She was a volunteer at former Lee Hospital, also a volunteer at East Hills Senior Center and the Meals on Wheels program. Taught CCD classes at St. Gregory Church, Daisytown, where she was a member.
There will be no viewing at the request of the deceased. Family will receive visitors from 9:00am until 10:30am on Saturday, November 20th at the Hindman Funeral Home, Frankstown Road. Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 at St. Gregory’s church, Daisytown. Burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery following the mass.
