Good, Ralph D., 87, Westmont, passed peacefully to his eternal home on July 27, 2018. Born April 14, 1931 in Johnstown, son of Elmer and Nellie (Peden) Good. Preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Donnie, and a sister, Gloria J. Prothero. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Barbara (Stutzman) Good; daughter Debra L. (Richard) Cowan; son Eric S. (Christine Carlheim) Good; He leaves behind 5 grandsons, Christopher (Molly Haas) Cowan; Ryan (Vanessa Conrad) Cowan; Eric (Lauren Lech) Cowan; Luke (Nicole Alden) Good; Joshua Good and fiance, Natasha Fabian; 4 great-grandchildren, Caleigh, Andrew, Colby and McKinley Cowan; and two step-great grandchildren, Chandler and Madison Keefer; brother, Raymond (Lois Wilkins) Good; brother Ronald (Kathy Riffle) Good; loving ex-daughter-in-law, Peg (Riddle) Soukup; and a special member of our family, Karl (Lisa) Eckhoff. He graduated from Southmont High School in 1950 and served in the US Army, Special Forces during the Korean War. He retired in 1994 from Penelec, Seward Generating Station. Ralph loved the out-of-doors, hunting or just walking in the mountains, loved watching deer in his yard, was an avid Penguins fan, but most of all loved the time he spent with his family. He was devoted to his 5 grandsons who were involved in nearly every sport, and he cheered not only for them, but for every boy on every team. He was a patient, kind, caring man, was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. At the request of the family there will be no viewing. He is a member of the West Hills Community Church, 2301 Sunshine Avenue, Johnstown, PA where a memorial service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made in Ralphs name to the West Hills Community Church Building Fund. The family would like to express a special thanks to Pastor David Streets for his love, concern and ministry and to the Crichton Center and the Doerr Wing of Arbutus Park Manor for their kind and compassionate care during Ralphs recent illness.
