Ickes, Raymond J. Sr., 73, Mineral Point, passed away December 7, 2020 at his home. Born September 7, 1947 to the late Clarence and Ida (Granata) Ickes Sr. Preceded in death by loving wife of 54 years, Carol L. Ickes; sister, Frances Ickes; brother, Clarence Ickes Jr.; brother-in-law, Joseph Frankofsky; and sister-in-law, Judy. Survived by children, Theresa Custer; Raymond Ickes Jr.; Tammi (Ickes) Correy and husband Samuel; Shawn Ickes and wife Courtney; grandchildren, Amanda, Athena, Raeley, Shaylin, Trista, Cara, and Elayna; two great grandchildren on the way; sisters-in-law and their spouses; and numerous nieces and nephews. Raymond retired after 31 years of service from Norfolk Southern Railway, where he excelled in his career. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, coin collecting, and his horses. Raymond also had an interest in antique cars. He liked to gamble and enjoyed going to casinos. Raymond’s dogs were his priority. Above everything, Raymond loved his family and spending time with his granddaughters. All services will be held privately.
