Raymond R., 74, Johnstown died Friday September 12, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center.  Born January 8, 1940 in Windber; he was a son of the late Phillip and Phyllis (Kodgis) Misosky. Also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Steven Bloxsom Sr.; step-son, Jon Kassander.  Ray is survived by his wife of 29 years, Susan M. (Myers) Misosky; children, Brenda Bloxsom, Windber, Jill Bowers, Columbus, GA, Lisa Janoski and husband James, Eugene, OR; step-children, Michele Pratt and husband Robert, Todd Kassander, and Tony Kassander all of Johnstown; grandchildren, Tori, Nathan, Ryan, Alli, Kierra, Cortney, Danielle; brother, Pete Misosky and wife Barbara, Richland, sisters, Patricia Misosky, Windber, Cyndi Terek and husband Thomas, Johnstown ; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Champ.  Mr. Misosky served in the USMC. He retired from McQuaide Trucking. He was an avid golfer and bowler and a member of the Moxham PNA. As an avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching all types of sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with him family and grandchildren. Ray will lovingly be remembered by many as “Santa Claus”.  Friends will be received at the Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd on Monday September 15th  from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  A funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Berkey Church of the Brethren 1038 Church Drive, Windber, with Pastor Nathan Crissman officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the family to help defer funeral expenses.  Arrangements in care of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., exclusive provider of “Veterans and Family Memorial Care.” Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com.
