Obituary

Shertzer, Rebecca S.R., 55, Johnstown, died Oct. 4,2015 at In Touch Hospice, Somerset.  Born May 3, 1960 in Johnstown, daughter of Ann (Bolger) and the late Joseph Roberts. Preceded in death by father, Joseph Roberts and in laws, Wesley and Mildred Shertzer.  Survived by her son, Luke, and his father, Joseph, sister, Patricia Tims and husband, Tommy Miller, Friedens and brother, David Roberts and wife, Gayle, Pittsburgh, Brothers in Law, John Shertzer married to Marcia (Owens)Shertzer, Tom Shertzer married to Ginny (Lamison) Shertzer, Sisters in Law, Kathy married to Joel Blough and Karen married to Robert Giebfried. Also survived by nieces- Courtney Bench, Lauren Blough, Jesse Sanchez, Kali Giebfried, Paige Giebfried, Cadence Gaudlip and Kloe Sanchez, nephews – Josh Tims, Justin Shertzer, Andrew Shertzer, Matthew Shertzer, Steven Blough, Jason Giebfried, Cory Giebfried, Sevi Sanchez, Caleb Unger, Kieran Blough, Jacob Shertzer and Reed Shertzer along with special grandnephews, Cameron and Noah Bench. Becky worked in retail for 25 years and in recent years as an inventory clerk at Kuchera Bros. and API.  She enjoyed reading, the beach, being with friends,family and Murphy,  but most of all, being with her son, Luke. At Becky’s request, there will be no viewing.  A memorial service will be held at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church on Sunday, Oct.11, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Contributions can be made to a fund that will be set up for her son, Luke.
