Brothers, Regina A.- affectionately known to many as “Granny”, 82, Hastings, passed away August 9, 2015 at Miners Medical Center. She was born September 7, 1932 in Hastings and is the daughter of the late Dominick and Anna (Korsala) Gavlak. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo G. “Chappy”, daughter Audrey, brothers John and Dennis Gavlak, and sisters Mary Gavlak and Ann Novak. She is survived by daughters Vivian (Robert) Donley, Latrobe; daughter Jacqueline (Terry) Deckard, Hastings, grandchildren Robert, Josselyn, Victoria, Lexie and Lauren; great-grandchildren Sydney, Alex and Toryn; sisters Elizabeth Wasilko, Northern Cambria and Patricia Vargo, Altoona. She is also survived by her beloved Black Lab Rosie. Regina retired from Golden Living-HAIDA after 22 years of employment as an Activities Aide. She is a member of St. Bernard Catholic. Regina enjoyed going to the Hastings pool with her grandchildren and always had a smile and kind word for everyone she met. She was “Granny” to many pets over the years. She enjoyed fashion and jewelry and was avid QVC viewer. Her youthful spirit touched many and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Friends will be received Thursday August 13, 2015 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver St. Hastings. A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings. Father Thaddeus Rettger Officiating. Interment at St. Bernard Cemetery.
