Gindlesperger, Rev. Terry P., 66, Johnstown, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 26, 2016, peacefully surrounded by his extended loving family. Born Sept. 25, 1950, Johnstown, son of the late Paul and Lillian (Mishler) Gindlesperger. Terry is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Colleen (Roberts); daughters, Marcee Finch and husband, Gary, Murrysville; Megan Illig and husband, Joshua, Johnstown; special granddaughters, Audrey and Amelia Illig; Ava Finch; sister, Judith Eash and husband, Clair; brothers-in-law, Scott Roberts and wife, Marianne; Trent Roberts and wife, Victoria; mother-in-law, V. Faye Roberts; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by siblings, Kenneth Gindlesperger and Beverly Ziemba; and father-in-law, George Roberts. Terry was a member of Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren and was a retired Ordained Church of the Brethren minister, serving at various area churches. He was also an independent licensed insurance agent. Terry served on numerous local boards and committees during his lifetime. A proud Penn State University Alum, he graduated with a degree in Health and Physical Education while participating on the PSU Swim Team. His greatest joy was his family and his love for his granddaughters, who will miss him dearly. Terry gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. A celebration of Terry’s life will be held at the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, Monday, Oct. 31 at 11 a.m., Pastor Robert Wolf, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Harmony Church of the Brethren.
