Slippy, Richard C. “Skip”, 76, Johnstown, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, June 7, 2014. Born February 16, 1938 in Johnstown, son of the late Clarence and Sue (Rippin) Slippy. Preceded in death by son-in-law, Shawn Carota. Survived by wife, Yvonne (Kasterko) Slippy; children, Daniella (Jeff) Carthew; Dodie (Chris) Gall; Richard (Rebecca) Slippy; Deborah Slippy; Dawn (Kenny) Asure and Denice Carota; grandchildren, Kayla; Steven; Nicholas; Kevin; Sydney; Tyler; Ben; Jessica; Joshua; Maura and Violet and great-grandchildren, Kayden and Brinley. Skip was a pressman for Bethlehem Steel, a PA National Guard Veteran and enjoyed the Steelers; Pirates; Penguins and fishing and family. At the request of the deceased, services were held privately.
