Kline, Richard E., 89, Hastings, passed away May 4, 2018 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.  Born August 9, 1928 in Susquehanna Township; he was a son of the late Dennis and Bertha (Strassler) Kline. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Doris (Drass) Kline, and siblings, Henry, Herman, Mary, Bernard, Sylvester, Paul, Ruth, Elmer, Rachel, and Philip.   Survived by his children Eugene Kline (Caroline), New Alexandria; Joanne Kanuch (Edward), Johnstown; Robert Kline, Hastings; Glenn Kline, Hastings; grandchildren, Greg (Paula), Sandra (Kevin), Stephen (Nancy), Jennifer (Tony), Michael (Jennifer), and Lisa; great grandchildren, Shayla, Owen, Bryce, Ben, Katie, Max, Isabella, Griffin, and Jack; also survived by his siblings, Pauline Standiford, Baltimore, Dennis Kline, Hastings and Lester Kline, Hastings;  sister-in-law Frances Kline, Baltimore. Richard is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was retired from Bethlehem Mine 33. He was a life member of the Hastings Fireman’s Club. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and watching Westerns; he loved the Steelers and the Pirates. Richard was happiest when spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He also looked forward to and enjoyed having breakfast visits with his brother Dennis and daily phone calls with his sister Pauline.  Friends and family will be received on Tuesday May 8, 2018 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 333 Beaver St. Hastings, PA 16646. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at 11 am at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings, PA. Father Thaddeus E. Rettger OSB, officiating.
