Myers, Richard H. “Dick”, 72, Hastings, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Miners Medical Center. He was born May 26, 1945 in Westover, Son of the late Robert  and Gladys (Kelly) Myers.  Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his daughters, Janel Santana; Hope Myers; his granddaughter Rebekah Santana; his brothers Mervin, John, Robert Wesley, and an infant brother; his sisters, Ruby Yeager, Anna May Myers, and Lillie Sims. Survived by his wife Genevieve (Milchak) Myers; daughter, Sharon Yokochi and husband Curtis, Texas;  daughter, Melissa Myers, Louisiana; son, Thor Myers and wife Carla, New Jersey; daughter, Dawn Herren and husband Brent, Texas;  16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; his sister Helen Carbaugh and husband Lynn, and his brother James Myers and wife Genzie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Richard was a retired coal miner, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a member of the Hastings Moose, Hastings Fire Club, Hastings VFW, the Rembrandt, and the Slovak Club, he enjoyed hanging out at Davey’s Bar in Hastings. He was a fan of New England Patriot Football.  A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday February 10, 2018 at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 333 Beaver St. Hastings, PA 16646. Pastor Linda Freeburg, Officiating. Interment will be at East Ridge Cemetery, Westover. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Richard be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
