Guyer, Richard L. “Dick”, 92, Johnstown, passed away on October 7, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by family. Born May 12, 1926 in Johnstown. Son of the late Joseph R. and Frieda (Hoffman) Guyer. Preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jay R. Guyer; his sister-in-law, Betty Guyer. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Dolores A. (Fletcher) Guyer; his children, Rebecca Guyer, Pittsburgh; Ross Guyer (Jacki), West Virginia; Deborah Young (Robert), Johnstown; his grandchildren, Addam Hummel (Fawn), Zachary Edwards (Kelly), Danielle Guyer, Carissa Guyer-Trent (Dustin), Rebekah Kelly (Dakota); and his great grandson, Greyson Hummel; Richard is also survived by other extended family members. Richard served our country as a military policeman in the U.S. Army during World War II, he loved his country, and proudly displayed the American flag. Richard was retired from Bethlehem Steel where he worked as a drafting engineer. Richard was a faithful member of the Oakland UM Church, and served on countless committees and volunteered his time to minister to those in need. He loved God and his family with all his heart and he exemplified his Christian testimony in everything he did. This world’s loss is surely heaven’s gain where he is whole, pain free and with his Lord. Save us a good seat, Pap. We love you. A celebration of life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday October 20, 2018 at Oakland United Methodist Church, 1504 Bedford St. Johnstown, PA 15902.  Rev. Randy Bains and Rev. Harold Spellman, Officiating.
