Fox, Richard P., 87, Johnstown, passed away Jan. 1, 2018 surrounded by family. Born Aug. 29, 1930 to the late Clayton and Matilda (Malzi) Fox. Preceded in death by son, Richard James Fox; son-in-law, Ronald J. Schmadel; and three brothers. Survived by wife, Peggy (Simmons) Fox; daughter, Patricia Schmadel; grandchildren, Eric Schmadel and wife, Rachel; Francis Schmadel and wife Linda; great grandchildren, Lily, Lena, Lucy, Rachel, and Chris; daughter-in-law, Mabel Howell Fox; two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was a former supervisor at Bethlehem Steel. He was an avid baseball fan and a lifelong Pittsburgh Pirates fan. Richard was a member of Walnut Grove Hunting and Fishing Club and enjoyed gardening. All services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
