Obituary

Lechene, Rita A., 89, Hastings, dies November 26, 2014, at St. Benedict Manor. Born September 20, 1925, in Susquehanna Township; she was the daughter of the late Simon and Mary D. (Miller) Cunningham. Preceded in death her first husband Albert Ludwig, her second husband George Lechene, and five siblings. She is survived by her children, daughter Rita and husband Neil Cohen, Oregon; son Kenneth Ludwig, Nicktown; son Dennis Ludwig, Ohio; daughter Doris and husband Dave Evans, Ohio; her grandchildren, Jacob and wife Sao Cohen, Abby Cohen, Sasha Cohen, Kimberly Ludwig, Christopher Evans, Jennifer Evans, Jessica Evans; great granddaughter Sophia Cohen; her siblings, brother Donald (Theresa) Cunningham, brother John Cunningham and his friend Elizabeth, her sister Del (Jim) Ryan, and her brother David (Peggy) Cunningham; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Rita attended St. Bernard Catholic Church, She retired from the State School at Ebensburg Center where she worked as a Nurses Aide. Rita belonged to the Ladies Auxillary of the Hastings VFW. At the request of the deceased there will be no visitation or services. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
