Miles, Robert Arthur, 91, Johnstown, passed away January 11, 2021 at home surrounded by family. Born September 2, 1929 to the late William and Anna (Hohman) Miles. Preceded in death by parents; stepmother, Rosella Miles; wife, Ellen B. Miles; grandson, Robert Miles III; siblings, Walter, William, and Gerald Miles; Diana Smith; Mary Catherine Toth; and son-in-law, Terry Ream. Survived by children, Kathleen Ream; Robert A. Miles (Von); Dennis L. Miles (Jancie); David E. Miles (Ann); and Brian K. Miles; grandchildren, Kimberly Godin (David); Renee Smith; Michelle “Chelle” Martin; Shawn Miles (Micki); Tammy Yahnert; Armour Edwards; Daniel Miles (Stefanie); Luke (Jesse) McCabe; Myles McCabe; Noah Miles; and Aaron Miles; 26 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; sisters, Pamela Sharpe (Jay); Patricia Gonda; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in both WWII and the Korean War. He retired from Bethlehem Steel open hearth department, after 33 years of service. Bob loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. In his earlier years, he threw horseshoes at the PNA and enjoyed bowling. Bob’s greatest gift in life was leading his children to a saving knowledge of their Savior, Jesus Christ. Family and friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. January 19^th with a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave. Pastor Dave Streets, officiating.
