Custer, Robert E., 91, Ebensburg, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2019.  Born July 13, 1927 in Central City, son of the late John and Amanda (Pebley) Custer. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife Ivy Jane (Richards) Custer; his brother John W. Custer; and sister-in law, Ruth Custer. Survived by his children, Larry R. Custer (Kathleen Lacue), Ebensburg; Stanley C. Custer (Carol Spencer), Johnstown; Linda May Danasko (Ronald), Red Hill; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; his brother Calvin Custer (Betty), Bedford; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other members of extended family. Robert served our country in the United States Navy during World War II, and Korea. He was the recipient of a World War II Victory Medal and Ribbon. Bob was a carpenter, and worked in construction for most of his life. He was a life member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and flea marketing.
