Obituary

Podrasky, Mr. Robert “Bob” J., 87, of Vine Street Towers in Johnstown, died at home of natural causes on August 13, 2019. Born September 19, 1931 in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents, John C. and Cecelia (Klesch); and infant son, Samuel. Survived by sister, Marinee Temme, NJ; four children, Robert Jr., Washington, PA; Cookie (DiMartino), Richland; Sandra (Leasure), Las Vegas, NV; Michele (VanDunk), Greenwood Lake, NY; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two nieces, and one great niece. Bob was a decorated Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War, Third Armored Division Tank Battalion. After his time in the military he served as a member of the Johnstown Fire Department, subsequently moving to Ramsey, NJ, to work for Ford Motor Company. Bob returned home to Johnstown in 1985, where he resided until his passing. A burial service and military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday August 19 at the Forest Lawn chapel.
