Piras, Robert Joseph, 92, Johnstown, passed away August 23, 2021, at Laurelwood Care Center. Born July 27, 1929, to the late John and Marie (Bassi) Piras. Preceded in death by son, Mark Piras. Survived by children, Michael Piras and Michelle Ogata; grandchildren, Dione and Gina Piras; Ryan Hogue; and nephews, Gregory and David Gelles. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a well-known contractor for years. He loved fishing, playing guitar, gardening, and drawing. He also enjoyed cooking and spending quality time with his family. Cremation will occur per Robert’s wishes. Donations may be made in Robert’s memory to Laurelwood Assisted Living.
