Robert L. “Bob” Kirkpatrick, 96, Hastings, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023. Born April 28, 1927, in Elder Twp; son of the late Elmer and Margaret (McNulty) Kirkpatrick. Also preceded in death by, children, Catherine, Greg, Donald, Dwaine, and Denise; siblings, Paul, Betty, Patty Kirkpatrick, Marie Weaver, Edna Bono. Survived by his loving wife, Isabelle (Krug) of 74 years, children, Darlene Lutch (Martin Passarella), Carrolltown, Daniel Kirkpatrick (Grace), Hastings, Diane Purvis (Doug), VA; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bob served in the US Navy during WW II. He worked for Lands Construction, St. Joseph, MO. Member of Hastings VFW, where he served as Commander, Carrolltown American Legion, Hastings and Carrolltown Fire Clubs. He was an active member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. He was an avid gardener. He will be remembered most fondly for his loving and giving nature. Mass held Wednesday November 29, 2023 at 11 a.m., St. Bernard Catholic Church, Fr. Thaddeus Rettger, OSB, celebrant. Viewing one hour prior at the church. Burial at St. Bernard Cemetery. Military Honors by local honor guard.
