Harkleroad, Robert R., 77, Johnstown, passed away Feb. 24, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 10, 1938, in Johnstown, son of the late Meritt A. and Anna C. (Civis) Harkleroad. Preceded in death by his parents and his son, Charles. Survived by his wife, Donna L. (Henger) Harkleroad; sons, John, and wife, Diane; James, and wife, Diane; E. Michael, and wife, Kathleen; Walt, and special friend, Toni; daughter, Beth, and husband, Dave; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, David (Sophie), Carol, Ken (Diane), Marie (Barry), Linda (Lucky) and Janis. Robert worked as a certified grinder for General Kinetics. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a PIAA Official for baseball, football, and girls softball. He also was a legendary football coach at West End Catholic. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the convenience of the family at St. Therese Catholic Church, Father Bernard Karmanocey, OFM, officiating.
