Winski, Ronald J., 71, Johnstown, passed Dec. 11, 2015 at home, after an 11 year courageous battle with cancer. Born Oct. 23, 1944, Johnstown, son of the late John and Margaret (Gabriel) Winski. Preceded in death by his brothers, John, Thomas, and Mark; and sister, Margaret “Peggy” Skufca. Survived by his loving wife, Paula (Hoover); sons, Jeffrey, Irwin; Jason and wife, Christy (Ambroe), Harrisburg; Jerry and wife, Emily (Smith), Troy, OH; grandchildren, Zachary, Connor, Seth, Cody, Kyra, and Ethan Winski; brother, James Winski, Sr.; sisters, Patti Schreyer and Barbara Riffle; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ronald was a member of Harmonie Singing Society and Moxham PNA. A 1963 graduate of Conemaugh High School. He worked for Bethlehem Steel until his units closed in 1980; and then Glosser Bros. Warehouse and Gee Bee Stores Warehouse until they both closed. Ronald was an avid sports fan enjoying fantasy football, NFL football, hockey, and baseball, but most importantly was watching his sons play football, baseball, and hockey in high school. At his request there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be celebrated, Dec. 14 at 11:30 a.m., Moxham Lutheran Church, Pastor Robert Wagner, officiating.
