Firment, Rose Mary, 89, Hastings, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Miners Hospital. She was born September 27, 1929 in Pittsburgh. Daughter of the late Mary C. Korney. Rose is preceded in death by her mother, and her husband, Thomas S. Firment. Rose Mary is survived by her children, John P. Firment (Tammy), Glen Campbell; Diana Lawton (Donald), Alabama; Donald Firment, Hastings; Thomas J. Firment (Lisa), Hastings; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren;  her brother, William J. Spencer (Darlene), Mahaffey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other members of extended family. Rose Mary took pride in caring for her home, her family, as well as helping her brother maintain the family farm. She was a member of St. Bernard Church, as well as the Hastings VFW Post #1586 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with and caring for the elderly and babysitting the children in her neighborhood. Rose Mary was a former school mother at St. Bernard, as well as a Den mother for the Cub Scouts. The times she enjoyed most were with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends and family will be received on Monday June 10, 2019 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver St. Hastings, PA 16646. There will be a short visitation on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at St. Bernard Church from 10 AM until 11 AM funeral mass. Father Thaddeus Rettger OSB, officiating.
