Jacobs, Roy “Jake”, 71, Windber, died January 7, 2020 at Hollidaysburg Veteran Home. Born August 27, 1948 to the late Leroy and Lorraine (Luther) Jacobs. Preceded in death by sister, Karen Afflitto; and father in law, Melvin Crislip. Survived by wife of 46 years, Diane (Crislip); son, Roy Jacobs Jr.; stepdaughters, Wendy Krestar; Robyn Kause; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; mother in law, Teresa Crislip; and sister in law, Barbara Holsopple. Jake was a well decorated Vietnam veteran, having served in the Army. He was a former commander of 103rd Armor Battalion in Johnstown, 52 Aviation Battalion, and a life member of Vietnam Vets of America. Jake was a mason and member of VFW Post 155 and the NRA. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. At Jake’s request there will be no viewing.
