Dranchak, Ruth Ann (Rusnak), 83, Hastings, called to God January 6, 2020, at home. Born November 14, 1936 in Hastings, daughter of Stephen J. Rusnak and Edith M. (Hambley) Rusnak Hugill. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John E. Dranchak Sr, who died September 6, 2015; sister Donna (Rusnak) Thomas, brothers; Richard Rusnak and Robert Rusnak. Survived by brother Raymond Rusnak; eight children, Stephen (Christa) Dranchak, Beavercreek, Ohio; Mary (Perry) Burkey, Hastings; Barbara (Leroy) Cloud, Northern Cambria; Eva (Darrin) Neuer, Burbank, CA; Nancy Waltman, Hastings; Katherine (Matt) Trout, Lancaster, PA; John E. Dranchak, Jr, Hastings; and Margaret Kent, Nicktown. Ruth is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; Katarina and Valerie (Steve and Christa), Cody (Mary and Perry), Ashley, Courtney and Brittany (Barbara and Leroy), Ken and Selena (Nancy), Zachary and Emily (Katherine), Chelsy, Brandon and Kaitlyn (John) and Simon and Jonas (Margaret) and two great-grandchildren; Henry and Madeline, and one on the way. Ruth was a 1955 graduate of Hastings-Elder High School and lived in Northern Cambria County most of her life. She was married to John E. Dranchak Sr. for almost 57 years. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was her greatest love. She dedicated her life to raising her eight children and was active in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives as well. She especially enjoyed singing to her children when they were small. She had a lifelong love of gardening, reading, cooking and baking which she passed on to her children. In her later years mobility became difficult and she greatly missed cooking. She was also a longtime fan of Penn State and Steeler’s football. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver St., Hastings. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 at St. Bernards Catholic Church, Beaver Street, Hastings. Viewing before the funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernards Catholic Church. Interment will be at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Patton following the Funeral Mass.
