Fabina, Shirley Jane, 91, Johnstown, passed away June 10, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center. Born January 7, 1928 to the late Joseph and Bess (Stutzman) Rehn. Preceded in death by husband of 64 years, Louis Fabina; and infant son, Mark Fabina. Survived by children, Lou Ann Bowser and husband David; Robert Fabina and wife Nancy; Rebecca Stevanus and husband Robert Jr.; grandchildren, Abigail Trotz; Lauren Tillman and husband Eric; Tyler Stevanus and wife Samantha; Brandon Stevanus and wife Jaclyn; Brett Fabina; great grandchildren, Ethan Tillman; Elizabella, Aubriella, and Griffen Stevanus; loving sister, Connie Rickabaugh; nephew, Randy Rickabaugh; special friend, Cheryl Weinmann; and beloved cat, Alex. Shirley loved church and the Lord. Family came first and was everything to her. She graduated from Johnstown High School and Cambria Rowe Business College and retired from Penelec. Shirley was an active bowler, sang in the choir, and enjoyed playing cards, especially Rummy. She was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan, enjoyed cooking for her family, and was a very caring and generous person and always willing to help anyone in need. Shirley was the bookkeeper for the family rental business and Judge of Elections for many years in her neighborhood the 21st Ward. Up until this past election Shirley never missed a day of voting. A special thank you to all of Shirley’s caregivers, Margie, Cheryl, Laurie, Janet, Gail, and Diane. Family would also like to thank Dr. Salah Aldergash, the staff at the Atrium and Conemaugh Palliative Care Unit. Friends will be received Thursday June 13 from 2-8 p.m. at Hilltop Baptist Church, 1300 Goucher St, Johnstown, where a service will then be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Jack Rupert, officiating. Interment at Grandview Cemetery.
