LEES – Shirley Mae (Hostetler), 90, Johnstown, passed away peacefully at home on February 9, 2022.  Born May 28, 1931 in Johnstown to Curtis and Alice (Peterson)  Hostetler. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 67 years, Paul; brothers, Ronald and wife Lois and Robert “Chip” and wife Beverly;  sister, Beryl and husband Willard Daughenbaugh; and son-in-law, Shelbe Burtnett.   Survived by children, Connie O’Connor (Leon), Jim (Sandy), MaryAlice “Cookie” Burtnett, Brian  (Cheryl), Sheila Berkebile (William); grandchildren, Sean(Molly), Carla (Amber), Troy, Travis (Kelli), Holly (Brad), Heather (Brad), and Brittney; great-grandchildren,  Kaia, Dakota, Sawyer, Ivy, and Iris.  Shirley worked in food services for a number of years at Richland School District, and was active in the community with Belmont Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.   She coached girls recreational softball, and was scout leader for boys and girls.  Shirley enjoyed camping and she and her husband spent 10 years as campground host at various Pennsylvania State parks.  They finally settled camping at Glendale Year Round where they continued to enjoy camping, pontooning and nightly campfires with family and friends, and doing crafts and puzzles.  Shirley is a member of Belmont United Methodist Church.   She will be greatly missed.  Celebration of Life will be held on Friday February 18, 2022 at 4:00 pm at Belmont United Methodist Church.  Dinner to follow in church social hall.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Shirley’s name at Belmont United Methodist Church.
