Obituary

Buige, Sophie E. 80, Nanty Glo, passed away on May 15, 2019 at her home. Born July 28, 1938, in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Deskevich) Konsavich. Sophie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Buige; 6 brothers; and 2 sisters. Sophie is survived by her children, David Konsavich (Roberta), Johnstown; Theresa Murawski (Thomas), Nanty Glo; Louis Buige (Valerie), Lititz, PA; her grandchildren, Nicole Teeter, Brandi Konsavich, Thomas Murawski, Elizabeth Buige, and Anthony Buige; 8 great grandchildren; her siblings, Joseph Konsavich and Catherine McDermott; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other members of her extended family, and friends. Sophie was the long-time proprietor of Luigi’s Bar. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing Bingo and gambling. At the request of the deceased all services will be private.
