Kishlock, Steven A., 66, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2017 at Conemaugh Good Samaritan. Born March 29, 1951. Son of Andrew S. Kishlock and Ethel P. (Peters) Soflarsky. Preceded in death by his father. Survived by his mother Ethel P. Soflarsky (Stanley), his wife of 44 years, Bonnie (Haney); his children, Nicole Weakland (Jamie “Buck”), Hastings; Rachel Kishlock (Kenny), Mississippi; Patrick Kishlock (Carrie Ann), Seward; grandchildren, Mason, Noah, Ava, Makenzie, Zena; his siblings Robert Kishlock, Mineral Point; Lori Millar (Lance); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Steven graduated from Forest Hills High School/ Greater Johnstown Vo-Tech Class of 1971, where he learned the Welding trade. The then attended Gateway Tech in Pittsburgh, where he received certification in H.V.A.C., he was retired from Freight Car America, where he worked as a Welder. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Pirates and the Steelers, as well as Pitt and Penn State sports. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and uncle. Steven’s grandchildren were the light of his life, and he thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them Steven was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. In spite of the difficult times, Steve always had a positive attitude, and put up a very good fight until the end. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sbeitan, and the staff at the Conemaugh Cancer Center, and the staff at the Good Samaritan Palliative Care unit. Friends and family will be received on May 4, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 1521 Frankstown Road. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. May 5, 2017 at the funeral home. Pastor Scott Klimke, officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family, to help with medical and funeral expenses, they can be sent in c/o Bonnie Kishlock 221 Wissinger Hollow Rd.
