Wertz, Sylvia Mae, 80, South Fork, passed away peacefully October 19, 2022, at her home. Born June 8, 1942, to the late Samuel and Mevaline Rhine. Preceded in death by husband, Joseph Wertz and son, Marzy David Walker. Survived by son, Kenneth Scott Wertz and wife Shelly; grandson, Justin Walker; granddaughter, Dessa McCurdy; brother, Maurice Rhine; and, nieces and nephews, Michelle, Mark, and Mitch Rhine. Sylvia enjoyed playing cards with friends, lottery tickets, going out to eat, and watching A&E and the ID channel. She also enjoyed Christmas, getting her hair done at The Salon at Boscovs, and loved going to casinos. Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sylvia’s daughter-in-law, Shelly Wertz, the Conemaugh 9^th floor nurses, and Windber Hospice for the compassionate care they all provided to Syliva.
