Smith Jr., Thomas A., 87, Johnstown, passed away December 10, 2021. Born July 31, 1934, to the late Thomas Sr. and Emma (McDowell) Smith. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Delores (Kaufman) Smith; sons, Brad (Kathleen) Smith, Johnstown, Bruce (Melanie) Smith, North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Brad Jr. (Tiffany) Smith, Kaitlin (Michael) Fahy, Lindsay (Jacob) Reid, Caleb; and the joys of his life, great grandchildren, Ledger and Cohen; sister in laws, Betty Adams, Elaine Tarbay and Carol Ressler, of Johnstown and Linda Boring, of Muncie, Indiana. He graduated from Johnstown High School, Class of 1952; he was an Army veteran, serving from 1957 to 1959 and was also an Army reservist, he worked for Bethlehem Steel for 32 years from where he retired, after retirement he worked for LBJ contractors and SAM Enterprises. He was a member of the Sandy Bottom Sportsmen club, the Tremont Club, and the Austrian Hall. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and working on cars. He also spent much of his time as “Mr. Fix-It” for family and friends. Friends and Family will be received on Tuesday, December 14, from 2pm to time of service at 7pm, Pastor Marge Kiefer officiating, at Hindman Funeral Homes, 1521 Frankstown Rd.
